The Madurai Airport which is located at a distance of 74 km is the closest airport to Sivakasi. The best part about travelling to Sivakasi is that it is well connected to the rest of Tamil Nadu, both by bus as well as by train. The best time of the year to visit Sivakasi is during the months of October to March. Hence, it is not advisable to visit the city during the summer months. Mariamman and Sachi Innachiar koil festivals in Sattur taluk and VaikasiVisakham in Srivilliputur are the famous festivals of this district.
